Frequently Asked Questions
Should I do a surprise visit in addition to a scheduled tour?
Many families find it helpful to visit once during a scheduled tour and once unannounced, ideally at a different time of day such as a mealtime, to see day-to-day operations.
Can I request a copy of a facility’s state inspection report?
Yes. Licensed facilities in Texas are subject to state inspection, and most will share recent survey results on request; you can also request records through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
